The Lake Hotel has received five awards at the Irish Hotel awards held in The Galmont Hotel & Spa in Galway on Monday 8th April. The Irish Hotel awards celebrate the amazing commitment and dedication of the hospitality industry in Ireland to providing simply outstanding guest experiences. One of the most esteemed awards taken home by The Lake Hotel on the night was the renowned title of “Chef of the Year”, presented to Executive Chef Noel Enright in recognition for culinary excellence.
The beautiful four star, family owned hotel was also awarded Overall Country House Hotel of the Year, Munster’s Country House Hotel of the year, Romantic Hotel of the Year in Munster and Best Hotel Restaurant in Munster. Sales and Marketing Manager, Sheila O’Callaghan commented, “We are extremely proud of our team. Executive Chef Noel Enright, Chef of the year, has led the kitchen team at The Lake Hotel for over 3 years. Noel manages the kitchen teams for The Lakeside Bistro, The Piano Lounge and The Castlelough Restaurant. Noel & his team have designed a delectable menu, using the best of locally sourced produce. The Castlelough Restaurant has received a 2 AA Rosette award for three consecutive years and has now been awarded Best Hotel Restaurant in Munster, this is due to the experience and commitment of Restaurant Manager, Anthony Barber, Chef Noel Enright and both their teams. Noel has also been a key player in the local Chef Colab, bringing local chefs together, expanding networks and building connections with like-minded, passionate, career driven chefs.
